Mindful leadership in Action – Tip of the Week – If You Wish to Be Equanimous, Practice Being Equanimous

Posted on by admin

There are three ways that you can practice being equanimous.  The first is to intentionally create equanimity in the body.  When you notice that you are off balance, look to the body and intentionally relax any part that is tense.  The second thing you can do is to intentionally create equanimity in the mind.  Here you would look to see if you are being judgmental and if you are, you would replace that with an attitude of acceptance, saying to yourself, “it is what it is”.  And finally, do not overlook all those times when you become spontaneously equanimous.  These are valuable windows of opportunity.  By noticing these moments you are more likely to experience more of them.
